INTRODUCTION

 

We are pleased to inform you that the Mustafa Kemal University (Turkey) is organizing the Third International Symposium on Loquat from 03 to 06 May 2010, under the auspices of the International Society for Horticultural Sciences (ISHS).

 

The primary purpose of this symposium is to share the scientific and technological novelties for production and marketing, germplasm, breeding and biotechnology, biology and physiology, cultivars, rootstocks and propagation, orchard design and management, postharvest physiology, handling and processing, storage, packaging, transportation and marketing of loquat. The symposium will provide a great opportunity for all researchers from academic institutions and private sector firms to get together to discuss problems and solutions regarding loquat growing. The symposium will be attended by scientists, growers and industrials from different countries.

 

We are seeking your financial support for The 3rd International Loquat Symposium. The present symposium is considered as a big scientific event. Successful completion of such event requires a strong collaboration and support from different agencies and organizations. Thus, the organizing committee is approaching different government and private agencies for financial assistance as well as other supports. Through this page we are inviting your organization to be involved in the above International Symposium as a Collaborator/Sponsor. The announcement of the symposium is already available on the events calendar of ISHS official website (www.ishs.org) and the first circular is being circulated. INFORMATION ABOUT SYMPOSIUM

 

The International Loquat Symposium has been held every 4 years since 2002 in various locations around the world. The previous International Loquat Symposium was held in Guangzhou, China, in 2006 with the participation of over 200 people from various countries.

A stand space for the sponsor will be placed in the cocktail area declaring that the reception is organized with the help of the sponsor. Also, the sponsoring firm can invite 10 guests and will be shown in the list of sponsors.

 

SPONSOR FOR GALA DINNER: 3,000 EURO

A stand space for the sponsor will be placed in the gala area declaring that the dinner is organized with the help of the sponsor. Also, the sponsoring firm can invite 10 guests and will be shown in the list of sponsors.

 

SPONSOR FOR COFFEE BREAKS: 2,000 EURO

Coasters displaying the sponsor’s logo will be used during coffee breaks. Also the sponsoring firm will be shown in the list of sponsors.

 

SPONSOR FOR SYMPOSIUM BAGS: 2,500 EURO

Name and logo of sponsor will appear in the interior cover of conference bags that will be handed out during symposium. Also, a piece of fabric, containing information about the sponsor, will be stitched into the bag. 10 bags will be given to the sponsoring firm free of charge and allow the firm to put brochures inside the bag.

 

SPONSORING SCIENTIFIC TOUR:

This sponsoring firm will be evaluated according to the subject title and the scientific programme. We will be waiting for your ideas and proposals about this also.

 

EXHIBITION/ STAND PRICES: 1,000 EURO

Enterprises who wish to display their own products & equipment must pay 1,000 euro for every 5 m2.

International Symposium creates the opportunity to share knowledge on different areas. It will be possible to share information with a wide range of audiences with poster or oral presentations. Workshops will also be arranged during Symposium in addition to the main sessions. In addition to the scientific presentations, technical tours and excursions will give the participants a chance to see local cultivation. Proceedings will be published as Acta Horticulturae.
