Gala Dinner Will be declared as soon as possible. Travel Information Hatay airport is 25 km east of the city centre. You can fly to Hatay via hub of Istanbul from all over the world. Istanbul is readily accessible from all parts of the world, and served by more than 50 airlines. Turkish Airlines offers direct flight from 77 cities around the world. Turkish Airlines have flights from Istanbul to Hatay so passengers flying to Hatay via Istanbul will get very easy and quick connections. It takes almost 1 hour by flight from Istanbul to Hatay. Also you can go to Hatay by other means of transportation as bus services provided by the companies Has, Jet and Oztur. It takes 15 hours by bus from Istanbul to Hatay. |

Transportation Participants can fly directly to Hatay Airport in Hatay, which is about 20 min.(25 km) away from Hotel by car. A car will be arranged to pick up participants at the airport. Please inform us your flight number and arrival time in advance. If you miss the bus, you may take the airport shuttle bus (Havas) to Antakya downtown, which costs about 4 euro. If you take taxi from the airport directly to the Hotel, the fee is around 20 euro. Call us +905323307712 (Dr. Serce) if you encounter difficulties. Local Time GMT +2 Letter of invitation Upon request, the Symposium Secretariat will send a personal invitation to participate to the Symposium. It should be understood that such an invitation is only meant to help participants raise travel funds or obtain a visa, and does not represent a commitment on the part of the organisers to provide any financial support. Visa All participants are required a valid passport and may be required a visa for visiting Turkey. Please contact your nearest Turkish Embassy / Consulate for this purpose. Participants from those countries where there is no Turkish diplomatic representation office, can obtain their visa at the airport on arrival to Turkey. National driving licenses of the foreigners are recognized throughout Turkey. Note that seat belts must be fastened at all times and speed limit is available in all roads. Driving is forbidden when alcohol is used and while using cigarettes. Banking & Currency Exchange The currency unit is “TL- Turkish Lira”. Some foreign currency can be exchanged on arrival at the airport in Istanbul. Most of the banks are open from 9:00 to 17:30 Monday through Friday, some banks in the city provide extended banking hours. Exchange facilities are also available in hotels and exchange bureaus located in the city center. Credit Cards Most of the hotels, restaurants and shops accept major international credit cards. Personal Insurance & Liability & Emergency Personal insurance and accident insurance are recommended to all participants during their stay in Turkey. The Organizing Committee will not accept any responsibility in this respect but assistance will be provided in urgent cases. In case of illness or accident, contact the hotel receptions or registration desk in the Symposium venue. The participant in the Conference agrees that the Organizing Committee and Secretariat does not assume responsibility for personal medical and travel expenses incurred during the Conference. Participants are advised to obtain their own travel insurance policies. Attendees waive any claim against the Organization for injury or other damages resulting in any way from Conference participation. Climate and Dress May is the third month of spring with mild weather of approximately 21 °C in the daytime and about 11-16 °C in the evenings. Rainy days average is 7.3 so we recommend you to bring light clothes and rain coats for possible showers. Business & Shopping Hours Government offices are open in weekdays from 8:30 to 17:00 and closed at the weekend. Most of the shops are open from 9:00 through 19:00 Monday to Saturday. Some of the supermarkets, shopping malls, department stores, newspapers and food shops are also open on Sundays. Certain newspapers in English, German and French are available in the hotels. Tipping Tax and service charges are included in the cost of all goods and services. Although it is not mandatory, a small tip is expected for good service. As a guideline, add about 5% - 10% to the total bill. Electricity Supply The electric current is 220 volts / 50 Hz AC with European type connections. Badges Wearing badges is mandatory in order to have an access to the scientific sessions, refreshments and social events. Certificate of Attendance A certificate of attendance will be given to all registered participants. |
